
We’re doing Chinese New Year again this year at work. I wrote a little column for a Huntington’s disease site about it and thought you might like to read how we will celebrate. The purpose of the column is to introduce the HD people to some healthy ways of eating without being too nagging about it. Many do not eat at all well and I think it makes the disease harder to manage. We have a recipe page but it is mostly very high calorie dishes ( It takes up to 6000 calories for a person with HD to maintain his weight) or dishes that are easy to swallow since choking is a problem. I introduce recipes that are for caregivers, those at risk and early stage HD folks. By the way, Kem Lee is really Haibiao that I often mention here. Maggie
